Self drive car & bike rental in Kulasekharam

Kulasekharam is at the northern edge of the district, where the coconut gives way to rubber and the hills start showing. Almost everyone renting a car here is going up rather than down -- to Thirparappu, to Pechiparai, or on into the plantation roads. It is thirty-four kilometres from Nagercoil, far enough that collecting a car in town and driving back out wastes most of a morning, so we bring it.

Getting a vehicle in Kulasekharam

Kulasekharam is about 34 km from our base in Nagercoil, and we deliver rather than asking you to come and collect. Give us the address and a time; the vehicle arrives with its papers, a full tank noted down and the KM reading written in front of you.

The roads north of Kulasekharam are narrow, shaded and wet for much of the year, and the rubber estates on either side mean long stretches with nowhere to pull over. They are good driving, but not quick driving -- an hour on these roads covers less ground than an hour anywhere else in the district, and anyone planning a day out should allow for it. The falls are busiest on Sundays and after rain, when the water is worth the trip; in the dry months they are a trickle and Pechiparai is the better destination.
