Self drive car & bike rental in Kaliyakkavilai
Kaliyakkavilai sits on the state border, which makes it a junction more than a destination -- buses, lorries and everyone heading for Thiruvananthapuram pass through it. Rentals here are often for people arriving from the Kerala side who want a car on the Tamil Nadu side. It is thirty-eight kilometres from Nagercoil and we bring the vehicle to you.
Getting a vehicle in Kaliyakkavilai
Kaliyakkavilai is about 38 km from our base in Nagercoil, and we deliver rather than asking you to come and collect. Give us the address and a time; the vehicle arrives with its papers, a full tank noted down and the KM reading written in front of you.
The border means the road through town carries more heavy traffic than its width deserves, and the stretch by the checkpost can hold you up at any hour. Thiruvananthapuram is about an hour on from here, and the drive is easy enough, but anyone planning to cross should tell us beforehand -- taking one of our cars into Kerala is fine, we simply want to know. Marthandam, twelve kilometres back, is the nearest town of any size for anything you forgot.
